Compost Site/Yard Waste

The City of Hanover partners with the City of St. Michael for a shared compost/brush site.  The site is located at 3150 Lander Avenue NE, St. Michael.  The facility accepts grass clippings, brush and other vegetative material.  The compost site is available for residents only; no contractors are allowed to use the facility.

Compost is available free at the compost site for residents only.  It is available at different times throughout the season.  If it is available, it is on a first come, first serve basis.  Compost must be shoveled by hand, no equipment allowed in yard to load.
