The City of Hanover is seeking passionate and dedicated residents to apply for open positions on the Planning Commission and Park Board. There will be three open positions on the Planning Commission and two open positions on the Park Board available for appointment starting January 2025. These volunteer roles offer the opportunity to shape the future of Hanover through active participation in land use planning, community development, and the enhancement of local parks and recreational spaces.

 

The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. and advises the City Council on zoning, development, and land use policies. The Park Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. and advises the City Council on parks, trails, and recreational needs in the community while also managing events facilitated by the Board like concerts and family programming.
