The Administration and Communications Specialist is the first line of communication at City Hall and also the primary individual responsible for reserving rental facilities, processing permits, maintaining information on the City website/Facebook page, and providing process support assistance for Planning Commission and various City Hall operations items. 2025 Wage Scale is $27.90-$34.32/hr DOQ, non-exempt with great benefits including access to PERA pension system, insurances and other retirement savings options. Administration and Communications Specialist Job Description Minimum qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and two or more years of related employment experience including customer service. Plus factors to list in your application materials include experience maintaining website content (Catalis, CivicPlus, WordPress, etc), Laserfiche, Canva and other related programs, facilities scheduling, permit processing, and experience or training in local government.
